I've seen so many mismatched hosting solutions in my time, from the single non transactional site hosted on a beast of a dedicated server, through to the mission critical site running on a creaking whitebox that threatens to fall over frequently. It's worth keeping in mind that, unlike a puppy, hosting doesn't have to be a one strike solution - what fits you now may not work for you in the future, and you should be prepared to consider change when it's needed. Of course, I'm possibly jumping the gun here in anticipation... Roll on the next post! Great start to the series – I’m looking forward to the next three posts!

I’ve seen so many mismatched hosting solutions in my time, from the single non transactional site hosted on a beast of a dedicated server, through to the mission critical site running on a creaking whitebox that threatens to fall over frequently.

It’s worth keeping in mind that, unlike a puppy, hosting doesn’t have to be a one strike solution – what fits you now may not work for you in the future, and you should be prepared to consider change when it’s needed.
